Jason:
Thanks for the appreciation… but myself and many others associated with GVPV all owe a debt of gratitude to you Jason. You’ve done a remarkable job in a short amount of time making this club a reality. I’ve been in charge of enough things to realize there’s as much work going on behind the scenes as there is at the practices & meets to keep this all going. I truly appreciate all you’ve done to keep this all going at such a high level.
Countless athletes have made marked positive improvements during their time spent with the GVPV club. I can say, unequivocally, that my vaulters are all better through their involvement with GVPV. Summer’s improvement was beyond her wildest dreams as she rose above the crowded ranks of 8′ H.S. girls vaulters to be ranked among the top in the state with a PR and SR of 10′ 9″. And she’s still getting better.
It’s a privilege to be coaching with you Jason and with all the other GVPV coaches. I’ve improved as a coach being around and working with each of you and I’m looking forward to more great things to come.
Best regards,
Dave

Jason can power up your vault whether you’re just beginning, at 6, or 16.

Jason,
I have been coaching Track and Field for 23 years. What you and your staff is doing is absolutely awesome!! My son Preston has been to some camps, and seeing the skill development and progressions that you are doing is very impressive.
I know it is a longer drive for us to Cedarburg (from Marinette, WI), but if it works out the drive would be worth it. Preston vaulted 13’ at the end of his Soph. season and he has found the pole vault bug.

*It was great to see Mike W. again. I was a Triple Jumper at UW-L when he was breaking all the records at UW-St.P

Hi Jason,
Just thought I would share some good news. My son attended your pv club practice last Sunday for the first time. He is a freshman and had competed in only 2 meets prior. His pr before coming to your session was 8’6. Yesterday he attended a varsity meet due to an open spot. The expectation was that he would just “experience” a varsity meet. He cleared 10’ and didn’t come in last. He is even more excited to attend your summer session.

McKenzee participated in a major invitational last Saturday. I suspect there were 35-40 vaulters Frosh – Varsity.
Conditions were cool but windy. Last year Mckenzee vaulted 5’6″ at this meet as a freshman.
Up to this meet McKenzee has vaulted 7’9″ indoor. Consistently getting over 7″, but not 7’9″.
You kept encouraging her, the other coaches kept encouraging her at your
Sunday practices, telling her she could clear 9′.
McKenzee believed she could.
McKenzee’s HS coach had her entered as varsity (she is a sophomore). Opening height 7’6″. Mckenzee easily cleared that by a foot.
I am building this up. She then went on to break 3 PR’s – clearing 9′ (1st attempt, great form).
Mckenzee placed 5th, just missing 4th on varsity (winning vault 12′).
She believes she can do 9′ 6″ or 10″ by season’s end (Just 3 more meets).
We come the distance because of the interest you show the kids, your skill, and encouragement.
I am grateful. Thank you as a dad.
See you Sunday.
Sincerely,
Bill

Hi Jason,
Thanks for offering the practice sessions during the summer. Maria had a great time last night and is completely hooked on pole vaulting. She is already planning out her schedule so she can make workouts after Cross Country season is over.
See you next week,
Greg

Hi Jason,
Thank you for the updates! We are really pleased with what Farrah has learned from you, your staff and the other club members! Farrah took 1st place last night at FHS quad meet with a jump of 10″6…
